Turkish Class which was built to Rapatnica Primary School in Srebrenik of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the framework of “My Choice is Turkish” Project in cooperation with Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and Konya Metropolitan Municipality was opened with a ceremony on 1 November 2019.
TDBB’s Turkish Class project which was started with the aim of giving students Turkish education in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been keeping on. Within this framework, it is now 24 Turkish Classes in Bosnia and Herzegovina which were built by cooperatively TDBB and member municipalities.
The opening ceremony of Turkish Class in Srebrenik was attended by TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak, Manager of Rapatnica Primary School and many guests. Students of the school made many Turkish traditional dance performances and sang Turkish and Bosnian songs during the opening ceremony.
The Rapatnica Primary School is the only school in Srebrenik where students take Turkish classes. Moreover, it is one of the oldest and biggest schools in Srebrenik and has approximately 450 students.
Srebrenik is a municipality in Tuzla Canton of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the northeast of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the 2013 census, the population of Srebrenik is 39,678.
