TDBB Information and Experience Sharing Program of Uzbekistan Delegation organized by Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in cooperation with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Nevşehir, Fatih, Selçuklu and Zeytinburnu Municipalities was completed after the presentations and site visits made in Konya, Nevşehir, Ankara and Istanbul on 8-14 September 2019.
The program was attended by Chief Expert of the State Committee for the Development of Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Anvar Yusupov, Chief Expert of the State Committee for the Development of Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sanjarbek Ruziyev, President of the Federation of Aviation (Air Balloon) of the Republic of Uzbekistan Takhirdjan Saliyev, Head of Department of the Association of Chefs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gulnoza Odilova, President of Hotel Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan Farangiz Abdullayeva and President of Guidance Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nargiza Salomova.
On the first day of the program, delegation visited the historical and cultural sites of Konya and then went to Nevşehir. In Nevşehir, delegation met with Mayor of Nevşehir Rasim Arı in his office at Nevşehir Municipality and then got informed about tourism activities of Nevşehir city. In the same day, the group met with the tourist and balloon traders and was informed about their activities.
Program, on 10 September 2019 Tuesday, continued with Ankara visits, there delegation visited Union of Turkish Tourist Guides’ Chambers TÜREB and Turkey Hotel Association (TÜROFED) and got informed about the activities of these two associations and evaluated the cooperation opportunities between two countries. In the same day, participants met with Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ministry of Turkey Nadir Alpaslan and there the group was informed about development of Turkey’s tourism activities.
Program on 11 September 2019 Wednesday during Konya visit continued with Konya Metropolitan Municipality meetings, delegation first met with Deputy Mayor Mustafa Uzbaş and then listened presentation on “Tourism Activities in Konya” and made site visit. In the same day participants met with Mayor of Selçuklu Ahmet Pekyatırmacı and then delegation listened presentation on “Tourism Activities in Municipalities” in Selçuklu Municipal Building and then made site visit.
After Konya section of the program, delegation came to Istanbul on 12 September 2019 Thursday, and visited TÜRSAB Association of Turkish Travel Agencies and Hotel Association of Turkey – TÜROB, there the group was informed about these institutions’ tourism activities and possible cooperation opportunities were evaluated.
In the last day of the program, on 13 September 2019 Friday, delegation visited Fatih Municipality and there they met with Manager of Cultural and Social Affairs of Fatih Municipality Abdullah Kargılı and listened presentation on “Touristic Activities in Fatih” afterwards they made a site visit.
On Friday afternoon delegation visited Turkey Gastronomy Association (GTD) and TDBB. In TDBB Headquarters, delegation met with TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak and they got informed about TDBB activities.
Certification Ceremony
In the same day evening, the closing dinner and certification ceremony were held in the hosting of Zeytinburnu Municipality. The ceremony was attended by the delegation, TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak and Deputy Mayor of Zeytinburnu Municipality Sertaç Güleç.
Program was ended after talks regarding program and presentation of the certification of the program to the attendees.
