Şehzadeler Mayor Ömer Faruk Çelik stated in his opening ceremony that they had very good relations with Donji Vakuf and also said, ”We have already completed a gymnasium in Donji Vakuf. When I first came to Donji Vakif I have realized that there is not enough space for children to play and I said to my counterpart that we would like to build a children’s park. We started our work immediately and built the park. We brought playing equipment for the children’s park from Turkey. We also sent outdoor sports equipment that adults can use. The team from Bosnia installed these parts and a beautiful park came out.”

The Mayor of Donji Vakuf Huso Susic who reminded that they have “sister city” relation also said, “we’ve got an extremely beautiful park. We would like to thank Şehzadeler Municipality for their support. With their help, our city, Donji Vakuf, will be a much more beautiful city. Children showed a great interest while the park was still under construction. This proves the need for a park we had.

After the speeches, the opening of the Şehzadeler Park was held and the park was toured together with the guests.
