The working group of “Atatürk Park Restoration Project” carrying out in cooperation with Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and Bishkek Metropolitan Municipality paid a visit to Kocaeli and Istanbul on 16-20 September 2018 in order to discuss technical issues about the Project. Kyrgyzstan Bishkek Metropolitan Municipality Head of Department of City Restoration and Landscaping Baktygul Sarymsakova and Landscape Architects Chylabayev Chyngyz and Abdyrasulov Izat attended to the visit.
In the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality visit, meetings were held among technical units associated with Atatürk Park Restoration Project and then stone wall in Yeniköy Cemetery site and general cemetery area arrangement were examined. The delegation was also informed about the Başiskele coastal arrangements. Moreover, another green area Kocaeli Natural Life Park (Ormanya) was visited and the group was informed about the area. Furthermore, Darıca Coastal Area arrangement and construction area of Kumcağız A type Picnic Area were examined. Tatlıkuyu Valley Observation Deck, Kandıra beaches, blue flag beaches and Seka Park which is the Turkey’s Largest Industrial Area Transformation Project were examined. Atatürk Park Renovation Project which was drawn by the architects of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality evaluation meeting was held after the all technical trips.
The group paid a visit to TDBB on 20 September 2018, apart from the Kyrgyz delegation, the Project Manager of the Department of Park and Green Areas of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Halil Kesikbaş and Landscape Architect Esma Eraslan came together with TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak in TDBB Headquarters. In the meeting, stages of the Bishkek Atatürk Park Restoration Project process were determined.
After TDBB visit, delegation visited Panorama 1453 History Museum, Turkish World Culture Houses. Miniaturk and Manas Sculpture in Sütlüce Park were visited.
