65th General Meeting of Union of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities was held on 3 July 2018, Tuesday with the participation of 28 mayors. After the establishment of the Presidency Council, Activity Report of the Union was announced.
After the announcing Activity Report, Executive Board of the Union was elected. Mayor of Güzelyurt Mahmut Özçınar, Mayor of Lefkosa Turkish Municipality Mehmet Harmancı, Mayor of Gazimağusa İsmail Arter, Mayor of Girne Nidai Güngördü, Mayor of Iskele Hasan Sadıkoğlu, Mayor of Çatalköy Mehmet Hulusioğlu, Mayor of Beyarmudu İlker Edip, Mayor of Paşaköy Habil Tülücü, Mayor of Büyükkonuk Ahmet Sennaroğlu were elected as the members of the Executive Board.
After the election, in the first Executive Board Meeting, member of Administrative Board of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) Mayor of Güzelyurt (TRNC) Mahmut Özçınar was elected as President of Union of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities and Mayor of Lefkosa Turkish Municipality Mehmet Harmancı was elected as Deputy Chairman.
