The 12th anniversary of the founding of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Armed Forces was celebrated at the reception that was organized by the Embassy of Bosnia-Herzegovina in Turkey and supported by the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in Ankara on 5 December 2017.
The ceremony that was hosted by Bosnian ambassador to Turkey Bakir Sadović and Military Attache Džemal Mašinović, was attended by Consul General of Bosnia-Herzegovina Began Muhić, Chief of General Staff of Republic of Turkey Hulusi Akar, Deputy Prime Minister Recep Akdağ, Board Member of the TDBB Mustafa Ak, representatives of a diplomatic mission and many other guests from Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey.
Military Attache Mašinović, speaking here, said Bosnia and Herzegovina’s armed forces developed quickly after its foundation and today takes part in peacekeeping missions around the world. Mašinović voiced that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s accession to NATO has begun and they expect to receive full membership soon. Stating that many countries supported them in this process, Mašinović said, “The Turkish army and the Turkish Armed Forces are one of the greatest supporters of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Armed Forces. We thank Turkey for their generous and unconditional support” he said.
