Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) September Executive Board Meeting was held in Union Headquarters on 20 September 2017.
The meeting, under the chairmanship of President of TDBB and also Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu, was attended by TDBB Executive Board Members who are Mayor of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Burhanettin Kocamaz, Mayor of Zeytinburnu Murat Aydın, Mayor of Bağcılar Lokman Çağırıcı, Mayor of Şahinbey Mehmet Tahmazoğlu, Mayor of Selçuklu Uğur İbrahim Altay and Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak.
The meeting, which started with TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak’s giving information about the activities and agenda between 16 August 2017 and 20 September 2017, continued with the discussions on the other agenda items.
Within this framework, it was decided to organize an Expert Training Program themed as “Smart Municipalism and Cyber Security” in Istanbul between 15 and 20 October 2017 for the expert staff of TDBB International Member Municipalities, to give support “Bosnia and Herzegovina Gorajde City Square Construction” Project by the Union and Union Members, to organize Information and Experience Sharing Program for the members of Kyrgyzstan Local Governments Union, to give support by Union to “IBAC-2017 7th International Balkan Conference” that will take place in Kosovo between 09 and 11 November 2017, to provide participants to “III. International Investment Forum” that will take place in Moldova Gagauz Autonomous Region between 04 and 05 November 2017, to provide participation to “UCLG-MEWA Administrative Board and Council Joint Meetings & Local Governments and Social Inclusion Forum” that will take place in Sancaktepe between 18 and 19 October 2017, to provide participation to the handover ceremony of the fire truck bought cooperatively by TDBB and Altınova Municipality for Macedonia Jupa Municipality, to provide participation to “Mimar Sinan International Project Olympics Award Ceremony” organized by Union of Turkish World Engineers and Architects in Kayseri between 29 and 30 September 2017 and to carry out the event of “International Historical Waterway Cities Meeting” with the coordination of TDBB, which was first organized by Esenler Municipality in 2016.
Besides, it was also decided to present the membership applications of Celic (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Donji Vakuf (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Roskovec (Albania) Municipalities to Union for the approval of Administartive Board and to organize next Administrative Board Meeting on 25 October 2017, Wednesday, hosted by Şahinbey Municipality, Gaziantep.
